After reinstallng Pro Release 9.69 (with source) about six or seven times, I was finally able to build the 64-bit library and get my application (which had no problems building with Pro Release 9.63) to compile, link, and run.  Note that I also edited the project file to remove references to any old libraries.  Anyway, all seems good for now.
