GNSS enabled devices

Is there anyway for the nfGPS control to trigger an OnCoordinate event when the GPS device is enabled for GNSS and not just GPS?  The sentences are coming across as GNRMC instead of GPRMC because the device is set for GNSS.  There doesn't seem to be a way to change the device.
