Using nrComm with GE863-GPS
« on: September 30, 2009, 05:33:34 pm »

I'm working on a new application that uses a GE863-GPS device from Telit Wireless solutions ( It's a computer embedded GSM board with GPS, Data Acquisition I/O and Bluetooth integrated devices. Each device uses a COM port (actually a USB connection).
I already have set up the GPS communication, that is my main objective, with a simple RS232 connection. But I'm thinking about having more, so maybe the nrComm Pro Lib it's for me. I'm trying the demo version.
What I'd like to know...
A) Is it possible tu use nrComm to manage all ports separately?
B) Is it possible to manage SMS messages and voice calls with nrComm using the PC's audio devices? Do you have a sample with source code so I can try it with the demo version?

Thank you for your information.
Unfortunately we never tested such magic multifunctional device :-(.

But I think nrComm Lib components can work with this device.

For test GSM/SMS functions you can use GSMDemo (TnrGsm, TnrComm components). More info here :
For test voice/telephone functions you can try VoiceDemo (TnrCommTAPI, TnrWave, TnrSpeech). Please see more info here
