Hi Doe snay oe know how to simulate a com port. We don;t have full time access to the device wee attach to, so would like to simulate the stream of data from the com port.

Possible I don't understand you correctly.
You can try Demos\Codes\codes_demo.dpr demo for monitoring all incoming data for selected serial port.

If you want to generate a random data you can use
Tools\NoiseGenerator\noisegen.exe
