The setup is as follows - Modem Cinterion MC55i SIM card from TDC Denmark. Link cabel USB2Serial by Prolific driver. Everig works, so far, but sending a SMS to "smart phones", no problems to "normal phones", as far as I have tested.
Problem: When I send a SMS containing the letters æøå ÆØÃ... to a HTC Desire HD or a Sony Ericson Experia I get a "Format not supported" message on the HTC and a NULL message on the Experia. I have no problems recieving the letters send from the mentioned phones.
Have anybody any ideas?

Hello

If sending SMS to ordinary phones works fine, possible there are problem with HTC sms implementation.
You can try to use forced 16bit encoding for sms before send. In this case you specific chars will be send in unicode format instead 7bit coding.
