Bar Code Reader USB

Hi, I'm using nrcomm with Datalogic RS-232 Bar Code Reader.

Most computers don't have RS232 port, I use RS232-USB convertor. Is it possible to use the USB version of this reader with nrComm ?

Hello

nrComm supports access to USB device, but you should understand that usb devices are very various.

There are no common standard for USB barcode readers.
Some of them are looking as virtual serial port. Others are visible as HID.
Some of usb devices request a special driver and special software from manufacturer.

If you choose direct access to USB device, you solution will NOT universal.
It will not work with other model of usb reader from other manufacturer.

Better if your USB reader will provide virtual serial port or HID interface.
